Origami

This weekend at the Kids Club in Harlem and the Bronx, children learned about origami by making paper animals. Each child chose an animal to fold from construction paper. The kids were excited to see their origami pets take shape and loved adding their own creative details.

Origami is a traditional Japanese art that uses paper folding. During this activity, the children saw how one sheet of paper could become many different animals just by folding it in different ways.
