What is SNAP?

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides monthly benefits on an EBT card to help you buy groceries. SNAP supports eligible New Yorkers — including working families, older adults, and people with disabilities — so healthy food is easier to afford.

You can check your eligibility, apply, and manage your case online. If approved, your benefits can be used at many supermarkets, corner stores, and farmers markets.

Tip: Keep your documents ready (ID, income, and household info) to speed up your application.
