Uptown Good Food Farmers Market

St Nicholas Park

St Nicholas Ave & W 137th St
New York, NY 10030

Uptown Good Food Farmers Market calls one of Harlem's most historically rich green spaces home. St. Nicholas Park sits at the intersection of St. Nicholas Avenue, 127th Street, and 141st Street, bordering Hamilton Heights, Manhattanville, and Harlem — land that Dutch farmers first settled in the late 1600s. Designed by landscape architect and Parks Commissioner Samuel Parsons Jr. and established as a public park in the 1890s, St. Nicholas Park was built along the rugged rock formations of northern Manhattan, following the natural topography of the land. In 1909, the park expanded to include the Point of Rocks, where General George Washington positioned himself during the Battle of Harlem Heights in 1776. In 2008, Alexander Hamilton's 1802 home, Hamilton Grange, was relocated to the park's northern end — within the boundaries of his original estate.
We are proud to continue the agricultural legacy of this land. UBHP's Uptown Good Food Farmers Market transforms this historic green space into a thriving community food hub, connecting over 1,000 families weekly to fresh, affordable, and culturally relevant produce sourced from local and minority farmers. We accept SNAP/EBT, FMNP, and Health Bucks.
