Zine Books

This weekend, kids had the opportunity to create and explore the unending scope of their imaginations. Through zine books, kids' club members in Harlem and the Bronx learned not only how to create their own zines but also to fill them with their favorite colors, fruits, flowers, animals, and even family. Zine books encouraged a sense of family, as some parents joined in the fun of learning. In the end, through sheer creativity and the limitless bounds of their young minds, kids made their own little magazine booklets and walked away proudly holding them.

Many of the zines depicted apples, oranges, grapes, and other fruits, highlighting their importance in our diet. Fruits make a healthy, balanced part of a diet, as they provide essential vitamins and minerals.
