Create Your Own Healthy Snack Menu

This week’s Kids Club activity, 10/18/25, was all about snack-time creativity and healthy choices! The children had a great time designing their own Healthy Snack Café Menus, turning nutrition into a fun and artistic experience. Kids learned how to build balanced snacks by including foods from different groups—fruits, veggies, grains or proteins, and drinks. This hands-on activity encouraged them to make healthier choices while using their imagination.
Materials:

Paper or construction paper

Colored markers, paint, or pencils

Scissors

Stickers (optional)
Instructions:

Each child designed their own “Healthy Snack Café Menu.”

They folded their paper in half or thirds to look like a real restaurant menu.

On the front, they gave their café a creative name.

Inside, every menu had to include:

1 fruit
-
1 veggie
-
1 grain or protein snack
-
This activity helped kids see that healthy snacks can be delicious, creative, and part of everyday fun. A big thank-you to all the families and volunteers who stopped by our market table and joined us for another successful Kids Club day - where learning about nutrition is always hands-on and full of imagination!
