My Healthy Promise Poster

My Healthy Promise Poster

This weekend at the Bronx Brady Playground, 10/19/25, our Kids Club took on a thoughtful and creative project - the My Healthy Promise Poster! Surrounded by fall sunshine and the buzz of the market, the kids learned how to set small, healthy goals while celebrating their favorite fruits and vegetables.

Each child started with a big sheet of paper titled “My Promise to My Body.”

Materials:

  • Markers
  • Colored Pencils
  • Stickers/Templates
  • Scissors
  • Construction Paper/Glitter Paper
  • Plenty of imagination

Kids drew themselves and wrote two to three personal health goals — things like “I will eat one fruit a day,” “I will drink more water,” or “I will try a new vegetable every week.” Some drew their goals inside the body they sketched, while others surrounded themselves with their favorite foods. The tables were full of laughter, creativity, and pride as everyone shared their ideas.

This simple yet meaningful activity encouraged children to think about what health means to them - in their own words and artwork. By the end of the day, we had made bright, positive promises reminding everyone that wellness starts with small, daily choices.

Thank you to all the families and volunteers who stopped by the Bronx Brady Playground and joined us for another fun day of learning, creativity, and community!
